"Kaleidoscope" derives from the Greek καλός (kalos), "beautiful" + είδος (eidos), "shape" + σκοπέω (scopeο), "to look at, to examine".

Day 3 - Lupins
Day 3. I seem to be drawn to purple this week, what is up with that? I really should break out of it. Hmm, perhaps I could try different themes each week. So I guess the theme this week is purple!
Yes the DOF on this lens is quite narrow. One thing you'll really notice when you get a DSLR is the sliver thin DOF. It can be a good thing or a bad thing. In this case I opened up intentionally.
