On Saturday the lack of wind and soft warm lighting - ideal conditions for flowers - led me once again to the Public Gardens.

"Kaleidoscope" derives from the Greek καλός (kalos), "beautiful" + είδος (eidos), "shape" + σκοπέω (scopeο), "to look at, to examine".
