Day 311 - Dandelion
Most people view dandelions as a pest. That is unfortunate because the dandelion is considered one of nature's best herbal remedies. The roots and leaves of the dandelion have been used in many cultures throughout history as medicine to treat digestive disorders, bloating, breast maladies, fever, aching joints and skin disorders. It is even used in wine. Sounds like a cool weed to me.

Day 299 - Light Boxes on Oland Brewery
Since day 242 I have been keeping an eye out for reflected light as a subject. The resulting shapes can be intriguing. Today after work, while driving past the rear of the Oland Brewery, I noticed this checkered pattern dancing on the side of the building. The box shapes danced for 15 minutes or so and were gone.

Day 292 - Film
I just came across an old roll of (now discontinued) Fujicolor Reala film and Delta 4X5 film (for my view camera). I am tempted to give the digital camera a rest and get out the old film cameras. I miss the look of film. I was peeved when the Reala line ended, it had exceptional colour accuracy and just the right amount of punch.

Day 288 - Out of Commission
I sprained my ankle playing hockey on Wednesday so it will be Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation for a few days. I am not a fan of frozen peas but they do come in handy as an ice pack. Ho, ho ho! Green Giant. I must say the early Green Giant commercials were really creepy.
